Confession...

I hate thunderstorms. Kind of a lot. It's funny...I don't remember ever being concerned about the weather until the year after we moved to Minnesota. Yeah, I hated the thunder when it made it so I couldn't sleep, but I guess it never occurred to me that thunderstorms could be dangerous in any way (except of course your occasional lightning strike!) Im not exactly sure what happened, but now whenever I see storms in the forecast I obsessively checked weather.com to see when the storms will hit and how bad they might be. Most people love the spring and summer and can't wait for them to arrive...but for me...the minute spring arrives it seems there is the looming threat of "severe" thunderstorms. Why have I become such a scared little kid who feels like hiding under the covers whenever I hear the wind start to howl? I dunno but it is super irritating! Just throwing this out while I am camped in the basement waiting out this storm -which for us so far has only consisted of one really big wind gust and a few distant rumbles of thunder...And the worst looks like it has passed according to the radar picture on weather.com. Man, I am such a sissy!

  1. Haha! That's awesome. I'm the same way, only with extremely high winds. It's scary...

  2. That is very interesting. Maybe your fear of thunderstorms changed when you moved because the threat of a tornado is kind of real there...
